Items that cannot be listed on Floatin
Important: Listing prohibited items may result in immediate account suspension or termination. All items must comply with Australian laws and regulations.
To maintain a safe and legal marketplace, the following items are strictly prohibited on Floatin. This list is not exhaustive - if you're unsure about an item, please contact us before listing.
Weapons & Dangerous Items
- Firearms, ammunition, and firearm parts
- Explosives, fireworks, and incendiary devices
- Knives designed as weapons (switchblades, butterfly knives, etc.)
- Tasers, stun guns, and pepper spray
- Brass knuckles, nunchucks, and other martial arts weapons
- Crossbows and compound bows (recreational archery bows may be allowed - contact us)
Illegal Substances & Drug Paraphernalia
- Illegal drugs and controlled substances
- Drug paraphernalia and related items
- Prescription medications
- Tobacco products and vaping devices
- Products claiming to help pass drug tests
Hazardous Materials
- Chemicals, pesticides, and toxic substances
- Asbestos-containing materials
- Lead paint products
- Radioactive materials
- Biological hazards
- Industrial solvents and acids
Stolen or Illegal Goods
- Stolen property or items with altered serial numbers
- Counterfeit items and knock-offs
- Items that infringe on intellectual property rights
- Illegally modified items
- Items obtained through illegal means
Recalled & Unsafe Items
- Items subject to safety recalls
- Car seats that have been in accidents or are expired
- Cribs and baby equipment that don't meet current safety standards
- Helmets that have been in accidents
- Medical devices requiring professional supervision
- Items with known safety defects
Adult Content & Services
- Adult content and explicit material
- Sex toys and adult products
- Items primarily intended for sexual purposes
- Services of a sexual nature
Animals & Live Creatures
- Live animals, pets, and livestock
- Animal parts from endangered species
- Ivory and products made from protected animals
- Live plants and seeds (unless properly licensed)
Vehicles & Motor Vehicles
- Cars, motorcycles, and motorized vehicles (use dedicated vehicle rental services)
- Boats and jet skis (use dedicated watercraft rental services)
- Aircraft and helicopters
- Vehicle parts that could enable illegal modifications
Note: E-bikes, e-scooters, and similar personal mobility devices are allowed.
Food & Consumables
- Perishable food items
- Homemade food and beverages
- Alcohol and alcoholic beverages
- Supplements and vitamins requiring medical supervision
- Baby formula and infant nutrition
Personal Items
- Used underwear and intimate apparel
- Used cosmetics and personal care items
- Used mattresses (unless professionally sanitized and certified)
- Contact lenses and eyeglasses (prescription)
Financial & Legal Documents
- Currency, stocks, bonds, and other financial instruments
- Credit cards, debit cards, and payment cards
- Government-issued IDs and passports
- Legal documents and contracts
- Lottery tickets and gambling materials
Telecommunications & Surveillance
- Phone unlocking and jailbreaking services
- Devices designed for eavesdropping or illegal surveillance
- Signal jammers and scramblers
- Devices designed to bypass security systems
Other Prohibited Items
- Human remains and body parts
- Nazi memorabilia and hate-related items
- Lottery and raffle tickets
- Stolen accounts or digital credentials
- Items that promote illegal activity
- Items that violate third-party rights

If you see a listing that violates these guidelines, please report it immediately:
